DESCRIPTION:Scope of the workshop\n\nThe detection of gravitational waves
has opened a new window onto compact objects and strong-field gravity. As
the global gravitational-wave detector network moves toward the next gener
ation of observations\, improving detector sensitivity at high frequencies
will be particularly important for exploring the physics of neutron stars
and other phenomena associated with the kilohertz band.\n\nKAGRA is consi
dering a long-term upgrade strategy toward the post-O5 era\, with particul
ar emphasis on improving its sensitivity at frequencies above a few hundre
d Hz. Such an upgrade would strengthen KAGRA's contribution to the interna
tional gravitational-wave network and provide new opportunities for studyi
ng compact binary mergers and high-frequency gravitational-wave sources.\n
\nThis workshop will bring together researchers in gravitational-wave inst
rumentation\, data analysis\, astrophysics\, and nuclear theory to discuss
the scientific opportunities and technical challenges associated with imp
roving KAGRA's high-frequency sensitivity. Topics will include the current
status and future upgrades of KAGRA\, prospects for gravitational-wave as
tronomy with an upgraded detector\, physics accessible through kilohertz g
ravitational waves\, and theoretical and data-analysis challenges related
to neutron-star mergers and their post-merger signals.\n\nA major goal of
the workshop is to facilitate discussion across different communities and
to explore how the design of future KAGRA upgrades can be connected to com
pelling science targets. In particular\, we aim to identify promising dire
ctions for the kHz sensitivity upgrade and to develop closer interactions
 between detector\, data-analysis\, and theory communities.\n\nParticipatio
n and Program\n\nThe workshop will consist of invited talks\, contributed
 presentations\, and dedicated discussion sessions.\n\nOn the first day\, i
nvited talks will review the current status of KAGRA and planned detector
upgrades aimed at improving its high-frequency sensitivity. We will also d
iscuss the current landscape of gravitational-wave observations and the sc
ientific opportunities that enhanced kHz sensitivity could provide for KAG
RA and the global detector network. These talks will be followed by presen
tations on the physics accessible with gravitational waves in the kHz band
and a dedicated discussion session on the future kHz sensitivity upgrade
of KAGRA. A workshop dinner is planned after the scientific program.\n\nTh
e second day will broaden the discussion toward the physics and analysis o
 f high-frequency gravitational-wave signals\, including topics such as nuc
 lear physics\, neutron-star mergers\, and theoretical and data-analysis as
pects of post-merger gravitational waves. The detailed program will be ann
ounced at a later date.\n\nWe welcome participation from researchers worki
ng not only on gravitational-wave detectors and data analysis\, but also o
n nuclear physics\, astrophysics\, relativity\, and other areas related to
  high-frequency gravitational-wave science. In particular\, we encourage p
articipation from researchers interested in exploring possible connections
between KAGRA's future detector development and new science opportunities
.\n\nParticipants who wish to give a contributed presentation are invited
to indicate this during registration and provide a tentative title and abs
tract. Depending on the number of submissions and the available time\, the
organizers will arrange the contributed presentations as part of the work
shop program.\n\nImportant Dates\n\n\n	\n	Deadline for abstract submission
