Description
Cosmic strings are promising sources of a stochastic gravitational wave background that can be probed by pulsar timing arrays and future interferometers. In this talk, I discuss metastable cosmic strings formed through multi-step symmetry breaking, focusing on their internal structure and its implications for gravitational wave observation.
